Greening the workplace
NSW industry and businesses are daily confronted with news items about diminishing resources, pollution, and the need for sustainability and energy conservation.
In recognition of the skills and knowledge gap needed to prepare business for this challenge, the NSW government has implemented the Green Skills Development Strategy and Energy Efficiency Training program. This provides funds for vocational training under
- The Energy Efficiency Training for Trades and Professionals - short courses for job seekers and existing workers such as
- design, installation and use of energy efficient technology
- supply chain management, marketing and delivery of energy efficient goods and services
- development, measuring and auditing of energy efficient processes and products
- business management and industry leadership in energy efficiency.
- The Green Skills Businesses Incentive - short training courses to encourage the take up of green skills by businesses including local government.
