Are you having problems competing for jobs because you don't have the skills an employer wants?

Help for retrenched workers, apprentices and trainees

Retrenched Workers Training Assistance is available to provide training, employment and personal support services including

  • skills assessment
  • referral to vocational training
  • priority assistance
  • help finding work
  • liaison with other Commonwealth and State departments and community groups for other services as required.

The Continuing Apprentices Placement Services (CAPS) matches employers with apprentices and trainees who have been retrenched because of the ongoing economic instability. You will need to register to be included in the job matching service. Here are some tips and hints to guide you through the process.
