I worked in my father’s car repair business for years during school holidays and at weekends. I learned a lot - does any of it count?

I've worked in 'the trade' for the last ten years and I know it inside and out.  I think I am as good as any guy with a certificate.   How do I get recognition?

I have worked in a nursing home in one capacity or another for years. I want to apply for a promotion so I want formal recognition of what I can do.

I started a course a couple of years ago but only finished one year. Can that year count towards a different qualification in the same industry?

 

Yes?     Then you can asked to be assessed for recognition of a part or whole qualification, without having to study what you already know.
