Green Skills and Energy Efficiency Strategy- a capable workforce for a sustainable future

Climate change, pollution and the need to use resources more sustainably are creating challenges for businesses and the wider community.

All workplaces are being affected by the environmental challenge, whether from new laws and regulations, rising energy costs, customer expectations or the requirements of external stakeholders. That's why understanding sustainability has become central to improving business performance and maintaining a competitive edge.

The NSW Government provides skills development opportunities to ensure that the workforce has the expertise to make a smooth transition to a more sustainable economy, and that businesses and individuals are well-positioned to adjust.

The Green Skills and Energy Efficiency Strategy offers subsidised training and support for businesses, individuals and training organisations to upgrade their sustainability and energy efficiency skills and knowledge.

More information on training and support available under the Strategy is provided below.

  • Businesses seeking to upskill their workforce.
  • Training Providers interested in professional development or delivering training in green or energy efficiency skills.
  • Workers and jobseekers wanting to upgrade their skills.
