Smart and Skilled

Smart and Skilled

Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW vocational education and training system. It will give people the chance to gain the skills they need to get a job and advance their careers.

Smart and Skilled is being implemented in 2014 with an entitlement to government subsidised training commencing from 1 January 2015.

Provider applications for Smart and Skilled have now closed. Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) will be notified in due course of the outcome of their application. For an overview of the process please refer to the Smart and Skilled Provider Application – overview which includes a timeline of events and details of each stage.

Prices, fees and subsidies and the 2015 NSW Skills List have been released (May 2014).
