Professional Development for VET Practitioners in Energy Efficiency
High quality training resources to build the capacity of VET professionals to deliver energy efficiency training, have been funded for development in the areas listed below.
Current projects focus on:
- Renewable energy technologies
- Energy efficiency skill set suite
- Smart grid network management
- Thermal efficiency in construction
- The crossover between 'green' and 'lean' in manufacturing
- Energy-saving work practices in retail.
All projects will result in a professional development workshop, which State Training Services (STS) will fund for delivery across NSW in 2011. Keep an eye on the STS training and development workshop timetable for details of where and when workshops will be taking place.
The training and assessment resources and, where relevant, project reports developed in each area will be able to be downloaded free from the State Training Services' SkillsOnline webpage as they become available.
