2016 Conference for Aboriginal employment and business advisors

The 2016 New Careers for Aboriginal People (NCAP) and Aboriginal Enterprise Development Officer (AEDO) conference was a great success. The conference was held in Sydney from the 5-7 April 2016.

The conference was attended by over 40 Aboriginal employment and business advisors and their host sponsor agencies. The conference was an ideal opportunity for advisors to come together to share their expertise and knowledge, to share successes and challenges, to explore ideas and most of all, reflect on how they can use vocational training, employment and business creation strategies to improve the lives of Aboriginal People in NSW.

Key presenters Michelle Shipp, Lynette Riley, Michael McLeod and Belinda PritchellThe conference theme was "Aboriginal workforce in Action" and attracted a number of key presenters including David Collins, Executive Director Training Services NSW, Michael McLeod CEO of Message Stick, Lynette Riley Senior Lecturer at Sydney University, Roy Ah-See Chair of the NSW Aboriginal Lands Council, and Marc Bennie from Accor who outlined their National program for Aboriginal employment.
