Boost in Travel and Accommodation Support for regional trainees and apprentices

Trainees and apprentices in NSW will have access to over $6 million to help complete their courses with the NSW Government announcing a major increase in subsidies for travel and accommodation.

Applications are being invited from eligible organisations to deliver the AEDO program in the New England region only. Applications will open 18 July 2016 and close 12 August 2016. Organisations intending to apply should register on NSW etendering in order to access the documents, which will be available on the 18 July 2016.

Fee-Free Vocational Training for People experiencing domestic and family violence

From 1 July 2016, people experiencing domestic and family violence will be eligible for fee-free vocational training under Smart and Skilled. This measure is an extension of the fee-free scholarship program for Smart and Skilled to help people across NSW to gain financial independence and stability.

Applications are now open for Jobs of Tomorrow Scholarships on the Service NSW website. These scholarships are being offered by the NSW Government to students undertaking selected government-subsidised qualifications on the NSW Skills List in areas related to science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).
