After a career spanning over 40 years in the NSW public service, one of our Regional Manager's, Greg Poetschka, is soon to say farewell. Greg will finish in his role as a Regional Manager in July.
Strategy to expand NSW Council's skill base

Top students name at the 2017 NSW Training Awards - Riverina

Samuel McGruer from Brungle and Madison Coelli from Leeton have taken out the top honours at the 2017 NSW Training Awards – Riverina. Samuel was named local Apprentice of the Year while Madison claimed the local Trainee of the Year Award at the awards ceremony last week.
Careers Australia Education Institute Pty Ltd

Training Services NSW is aware that Careers Australia Education Institute Pty Ltd (Careers Australia) has entered into voluntary administration. The company has stopped delivering all courses. Careers Australia is not a Smart and Skilled provider, and assistance to affected students is being offered by TAFE Directors Australia (TDA).

People with Disabilities in Construction Training on Central Coast

Smart and Skilled provider Construction Trade Qualifications (CTQ) Pty Ltd, with the support of our Hunter and Central Coast office, is partnering with Employment Service Provider, Castle Personnel, and local contractors to provide training in Certificate II in Construction. With a 100% retention rate, all students are on track to complete their course requirements and graduate at the end of May.

New Transport Concession Entitlement Card for apprentices and trainees

If you are a NSW apprentice or new-entrant trainee, there is a new proof of entitlement card for public transport concession fares. The Transport Concession Entitlement Card is replacing the Indentured Apprentice/Trainee NSW Transport Concession Card. You need to apply for the new card before 30th June 2017.
