Transport Concession Entitlement Card
Eligible apprentices and trainees will need a Transport Concession Entitlement Card as their proof of entitlement to access concession fares on public transport in NSW.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Transport Concession Entitlement Card as an apprentice or trainee you must:
- be registered with Training Services NSW as an apprentice or new entrant trainee; and
- continue to be in an active apprenticeship or new entrant traineeship approved by Training Services NSW.
Entitlements
Sydney and surrounding areas - Opal network
- Once you have been approved for a Transport Entitlement Concession Card, you can apply online for a Concession Opal card.
- The Concession Opal card allows customers to pay concession fares on public transport in the Sydney metropolitan area and surrounding areas (Opal network).
Regional NSW - outside Opal network
- With a Transport Concession Entitlement Card you can book online to pay concession fares on NSW TrainLink regional services.
- You may also be entitled to concession fares on privately-operated regular route local bus services.
How to apply for the Travel Concession Entitlement Card
- Go to Transport Concession Entitlement Card application online form.
- You will need your Training Contract ID (TCID) number when you complete the form.
